1* Up & Coming
For half a century, Bodegas Arloren has been a proud family-run estate in the sun-soaked region of Murcia, Spain. With 50 hectares under vine, the team’s work begins with a deep respect for the land, nurturing the vines from the first bud through to harvest without the use of synthetic pesticides or herbicides. Their approach is as natural as possible, favouring organic methods and avoiding sulphur-based treatments altogether.
This dedication to purity is matched by an ambition to be fully sustainable by 2030, with plans to achieve a zero-carbon footprint and expand into new markets. A natural style of winemaking, free from fining agents and reliant on selected native yeasts, ensures the wines remain authentic expressions of their terroir.
The vineyard team is committed to ethical sourcing, working closely with trusted farmers they have known for years and selecting suppliers who align with their values. Occasional participation in local events further reflects a quiet but meaningful connection to the community.
While challenges such as rising material costs, limited rainfall, and competition from large producers are real, Bodegas Arloren continues to look forward with optimism. The estate’s blend of tradition, integrity, and environmentally conscious viticulture stands as a foundation for a future where quality and sustainability go hand in hand.
