We are delighted to present this French Champagne made with 100% Pinot Noir grapes. Five years on lees adds real depth, biscuit, and brioche notes to ripe but crunchy red fruits. The acidity and richness make this a meal all by itself. This Verzenay has such appeal but fully expresses the Grand Cru quality of the fruit. A serious food Champagne!

On the nose, it often reveals types of aromas of citrus, apples or apricot and sometimes also aromas of lemon, toasted or honey.

On the palate, Fins Lieux No. 1 is a powerful wine with great liveliness and a fine, pleasant bubble.

Service: Serve chilled between 8° to 10°C.

Food Pairing: This champagne goes wonderfully with large shellfish or starters without sauces. Can also be paired with pork, lamb or fatty fish (salmon, tuna, etc.).

Meet the winemaker, David Pehu. He is the 4th generation to lead the estate and has been involved in winemaking since 1988 and, solely in charge of the cellar since 1995. He studied oenology in Burgundy.

The 7.5 hectare vineyard of which 6 are Grand Cru are located in Verzenay, a Grand Cru village in the Montagne de Reims, Champagne's most famous area for Pinot Noir.

The terrain of Verzy is made up of belemnite chalk and two varieties of micraster chalk, made up of a variety of Cretaceous echinoids. Verzy’s parcels form an extension of the famous vineyards at Verzenay on the northern slopes of Montagne de Reims. The best exposed slopes are those at an altitude from 150 to 200 meters (492 to 565 ft.).

Cellaring: Drinking well now, can be kept in the cellar for the next 4 years.

Vinification: Vinification is done in barrique. Malo was not done for this wine. The wine is kept on slat for 60 months.
