Casado Morales winery and vineyards are the result of a family’s tradition and work.
Since 1925 three generations have made possible to enjoy today the excellent wines that are born in our own vineyards.

Casado Morales’s wines are made personally, despite the manual work the vineyards’ soil and terrain require in the vine’s various maintenance tasks.
Passion for the field, vineyards, winery and family come together in perfect harmony to elaborate a unique wine.

Nature makes wines resemble one another so we compare them, soil and man make them different, so we tell them apart.

Wine assembled from different vineyards owned by the Casado Morales family in the villages of Rioja Alavesa: Lapuebla de Labarca and Laguardia. Type of vineyard Traditional bush vine Viura with an average age of 40 years old. The microclimate is Continental and the wines do not require of a long aging to show their full potential. The harvest is done manually in 150 kg containers.

Mario and the team at Viñedos Bodegas y Casado Morales are committed to a level of sustainability that surpasses the vast majority of vineyards surrounding Rioja. Dedicated the commitment of sustainable viticulture, Casado Morales employs vegan friendly practices and is certified Vegan in their Protesta range. Similarly, the vineyard and estate also practice Organic farming, away from the use of herbicides, pesticides and all non-natural chemicals. Biodynamic farming principals are also used, but not certified.

As well as being a committed practice in the fields, Casado Morales ensures they do their best away from the vines. Through the use of electric vehicles and machinery, CM is able to cut their carbon footprint as well as commit themselves to run on 100% renewable energy sources from the national grid.

It is an absolute pleasure to be working closely with such a committed vineyard and we look forward to strengthening and contributing to their part of nature.

Cellaring: Ready to drink now.

Grapes offloaded, followed by de-stemming and a very light pressing in an inert atmosphere. The musts are raked by gravity in cement tanks and fermented in stainless steel at a temperature of 14º.
