El Tío del Carro 2017
DO Jumilla, Spain
Blend: 80% Monastrell, 20% Petit Verdot | 14% ABV
Bodegas Arloren makes such appealing, juicy wines. El Tío del Carro has a nice balance of upfront fruit, velvety tannins but also freshness. A wine with appeal and weight, enabling it to pair nicely with a fairly broad selection of foods. This wine, a homage to the family estate, is cherry red in colour and offers overt aromas of ripe forest fruits, candied violets and black cherry.
Cherry red in colour and offers overt aromas of ripe forest fruits, candied violets and black cherry. On the palate, it is fleshy and expressive with a discreet undercoat of spice. A wine you can sink your teeth into.
Goes well with red meats and hearty vegetarian dishes.
