Discover this French red wine from the renowned region of Bordeaux. From the gravel and clay soils, the estate produces its flagship wine which is based on Cabernet Sauvignon but fleshed out with Merlot and given just a dash of Cabernet Franc for perfume. To help develop its full potential, they have hired one of the most respected wine oenologists, Eric Boissenot.
This wine features notes of sweet black cherry, plum, chocolate, coffee, and earthy spice.
Excellent with beef, game, lamb, pork, poultry and vegetarian dishes.
Best served at 15 – 18°C.
Eric Boissenot is the winemaker who shares the estate's vision of wine-making and their attachment to the tradition and the terroir. He is one of the ten greatest oenologist-consultants in the world.
Château Lalande Villeneuve is owned and produced by the Uijttewaal family, who also own Château St. Hilaire.
In 2011, Adrien fell under the spell of an abandoned property overlooking the estuary, Château Lalande Villeneuve. Knowing the unique potential of these terroirs, he decides to embark on the restructuring of this 5.4-hectare vineyard with his daughter Elise.
