A moderately rich Pauillac that displays sweet, vinous red fruits, damson plums, and blackberries paired with spice and nuances of orange zest.
Enjoy with meats including beef, lamb, and pork, but would also work well with chicken or other savoury dishes.

Meet the winemaker, Alain Albistur. Alain is a passionate and exciting man. At the helm since the start of the adventure in 2001, he has constantly improved the quality of his wines, while taking the time to generously share his passion with his customers.
Domaine Les Sadons is located to the south of the town of Pauillac and its appellation, on the edge of the D2, the famous "Route des Châteaux" of the Médoc. It's terroir is dominated by gravelly soil.
The property has 87 acres of vines and produces each year a unique red wine from a blend of three grape varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot.
The three plots that make up the property are spread out to the west of the winery. All are surrounded by plots of Châteaux Pichon Baron and Pichon Comtesse.
1* Up & Coming
Tucked away in the prestigious Pauillac appellation of Bordeaux, Domaine les Sadons is a small but dedicated family estate, founded in 2000 and lovingly managed by owner and winemaker Alain Albistur. With just one hectare of vines, the focus here is on meticulous attention to detail and a deep respect for both tradition and the land.
Viticulture is carried out almost entirely by hand, from harvesting to leaf-thinning and green harvesting, ensuring only the finest grapes reach the winery. Biocontrol methods are used to maintain vine health, reducing the need for inputs, while permanent grass cover helps preserve and enrich the soil. The estate’s approach is rooted in sustainability through minimal intervention, careful manual work, and a commitment to producing wines that reflect both the vintage and their unique terroir.
In the cellar, winemaking is guided by the philosophy that great wine begins with great fruit. The aim is to let the grapes speak for themselves, crafting wines that carry the hallmark character of Pauillac. With no fining agents used, selected native yeasts, and sulphur applied only when necessary, the process remains as natural and respectful as possible.
Beyond the vineyard, Domaine les Sadons participates in local community activities and champions ethical values in their supplier relationships. The estate also demonstrates strong female representation in leadership, adding diversity to its guiding vision. Sheep are occasionally used to manage grass growth naturally, reducing the need for machinery and further supporting sustainable practices.
With a clear focus on quality, family heritage, and respect for the environment, Domaine les Sadons continues to produce expressive, characterful wines from one of the world’s most renowned wine regions.

Cellaring: Enjoy now but will benefit being in the cellar for the next 10+ years.
Vinification: Grapes are harvested by hand by individual parcels, destemmed, and fermented in different cement vats, respecting the parcel divisions. Following fermentation, the wine spends 18 months in French oak barrels of which 45% are new and 55% are 1 year old. All the labeling and capsuling are done by the family as the wines are sold. Truly an artisanal production.
